Hunt County is Rich in History…

The Tax Assessor-Collector of Hunt County collects for all of the twenty-three taxing jurisdictions within the county. Dedication to our goal to provide as much assistance to the taxpayer and general public alike, have contributed to our county as being respected as one of the most innovative across the state.



In compliance with Hunt County’s Disaster Declaration filed March 23, 2020 (Shelter in Place of Residence), the Hunt County Tax Office Lobby and Drive-Thru will be closed to the public through April 17, 2020.

The Governor has issued waivers for expiration of registration, temporary tags, and title transfers. They are posted below.

If you choose, you can renew your registration by mail (PO BOX 1042, Greenville, TX 75403) or drop it in our night deposit located on the wall just past the inside drive-thru or online at
